Creative Data Visualizations with SVG and D3.js

In this workshop, we will transform movie data into colorful flowers – a recreation of my film flowers visualization.

To create the flower petals, we will learn SVG paths. To turn the petals into flowers, we will learn D3 scales and SVG transforms. And to connect each flower to a corresponding movie, we will learn selection, data-binding, and enter-update-exit patterns.

By the end of the workshop, attendees will have been introduced to core D3 concepts and will be able to take that knowledge to practice and create their own visualizations.

Vorkenntnisse:
Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and basic Javascript (arrays, objects, and iteration functions)
